Redwood City, Calif. – May 4, 2011 – Abiquo, the leading Enterprise Cloud Management software company, today announced the launch of the global Abiquo Partner Program (APP) to address the growing market need for an effective and agile way to manage datacenter infrastructure as a self-service cloud. The program provides resellers, distribution partners, consulting firms and systems integrators with the materials and support they need to deliver a leading enterprise-class cloud management solution or service to their customers.
Abiquo is proud to announce the following nine partner companies from around the globe:
Leading resellers and distributors include Agilysys (Nasdaq: AGYS), which operates from locations throughout North America and in the United Kingdom, Singapore and Hong Kong; CTC Itochu, based in Tokyo, Japan; GTI, headquartered in Hong Kong with offices in Beijing and Shanghai; BAIP in Vilnius, Lithuania; Tungsten Management Consulting, headquartered in London, UK; and UnGeo in Beijing China.

Partners like CTC allow Abiquo to serve market demand in the APAC region through relationships known and trusted by regional customers. “After a thorough evaluation of the available cloud management solutions, we chose Abiquo,” said Tohru Nakano, executive vice-president, Telecommunication Systems Group, CTC. “Abiquo provides unique features like support for heterogeneous environments, six hypervisors with virtual-to-virtual conversion, and the ability to manage globally distributed physical datacenters. Our customers have been asking for a cloud solution, and now we can deliver a powerful offering with Abiquo.”
BAIP offers full turnkey critical IT infrastructure solutions and services that allow their clients to optimize their datacenter costs and effectiveness. Leveraging the Abiquo solution allows BAIP to bring a whole new level of optimization to its customers. “Our customers need a solution that allows them to better manage and provision all the datacenter elements to best serve their internal customers,” said Kazimieras Tonkunas, CEO, BAIP “The Abiquo solution fills the needs of our customers today and we anticipate strong demand in our region.”

As a full service consulting firm and a reseller, Tungsten Management Consulting serves the IT needs of leading enterprises like Virgin Media, British Airways and many more. “Today enterprises are looking for ways to optimize their IT effectiveness, control costs, and be more responsive to the business needs” said Howard Longstaff, CEO, Tungsten Management Consulting. “Abiquo gives us the power to manage global infrastructure across heterogeneous environments regardless of datacenter location. This uniquely allows us to focus on delivering business value, as opposed to dealing with various hypervisor interoperability or remote datacenter issues.”
The Abiquo Partner Program is open to partners that serve the needs of enterprises dealing with datacenter optimization initiatives like virtualization and cloud computing. The program provides various levels of sales, technical, educational and marketing support, depending on the partner type and level. Within the Abiquo Partner Program is the Abiquo Reseller Program (ARP) which specifically serves the needs of our resell and distribution partners. This program works with these partner members to deliver training and certification in addition to various levels of sales, technical, product and marketing support.
“Enterprises worldwide are looking for ways to optimize IT responsiveness to business needs, as well as controlling costs,” said Pete Malcolm, CEO of Abiquo. “Abiquo’s channel partnerships provide those enterprises with local technical expertise they trust, and provides the Abiquo partner with a cloud management solution that adds immediate value to their customers.
