Abiquo CEO Pete Malcolm to Present Keynotes at Cloud Expo Silicon Valley 2010
Keynotes to Introduce Two New, Breakthrough Technology Innovations in Enterprise Cloud Adoption and Management: Virtual Enterprise and Business Policy
Redwood City, Calif. — October 20, 2010 — Abiquo, the leading Enterprise Cloud Management software provider, today announced that the company’s CEO, Pete Malcolm, will present two keynotes on breakthrough Cloud management technology innovations at the Cloud Expo Silicon Valley 2010, at the Santa Clara Convention Center, on Nov. 1-4, 2010, in Santa Clara, Calif.
The 7th International Cloud Expo 2010 is regarded as the world’s premier Cloud computing conference and will feature more than 5,000 delegates and over 100 sponsors and exhibitors. Event attendees will hear and see Abiquo CEO Pete Malcolm introduce and demo two new, breakthrough Cloud management technology innovations: Virtual Enterprise and Business Policy. Pete will first unveil “Next Generation Cloud Management – Introducing the Virtual Enterprise” at the general session at 9:05 a.m. PST on November 2. This session will introduce the Virtual Enterprise, a next generation concept for consumers of Cloud resources, which brings them unparalleled levels of functionality and control – at no risk to the IT infrastructure.
In addition, Abiquo CEO Pete Malcolm will present the second breakthrough technology innovation – business policy – during a keynote which starts at 8:15 a.m. PST on November 3, entitled “The Key to Enterprise Cloud Adoption – It’s A Matter of Business Policy.” Business Policies add the control layer to allow organizations to move beyond the limitations of first generation virtualization technology to build a truly scalable cloud infrastructure embracing private, public and hybrid models. As a result, organizations can now establish and automatically enforce security, compliance, governance, optimization and cost control through centrally managed business policies.
“Self service Virtual Enterprises and Business Policies are critical new Cloud management technology innovations that address two of today’s key enterprise adoption challenges,” said Pete Malcolm, Abiquo CEO. “Thanks to these technology breakthroughs, which are available today in Abiquo Enterprise Edition, global 2000 firms and the hosting providers who support them can truly make the Cloud work on a global, enterprise-wide basis.”
“Cloud Expo 2010 delegates, visiting analysts and press, and our online SYS-CON.TV audience will not want to miss Abiquo CEO Pete Malcolm's Day 3 Keynote and his General Session on Day 2 at the four-day landmark event,” said Jeremy Geelan, Cloud Expo series Conference Chair. “Pete is going to introduce two new Cloud management technology breakthroughs – Virtual Enterprise and Business Policy - that will supply the missing link to enterprise Cloud adoption.”
