Jim Darragh, CEO
Jim joined Abiquo in September 2012 with a vision to aggressively grow the business and deliver shareholder value. Prior to this he held the position of SVP & General Manager of the Stingray business unit at Riverbed Technology, a role he began in July 2011 following his influential leadership as CEO at Zeus Technology.
Jim was instrumental in the acquisition of Zeus by Riverbed in 2011, spearheading an award-winning exit that attracted considerable attention in the European equity markets. Prior to Zeus, Jim has a long history of building successful international software businesses across the industry at SAP, CA Technologies and BMC Software.
Xavier Fernandez, Co-founder and VP Engineering
Xavi co-founded Abiquo in March 2006. Previously, he worked as a project manager, senior developer and Java developer for Everis Consulting Group. At Everis, he led teams that developed applications for large companies such as PepsiCo and Gas Natural.
Xavi’s work focused on developing XML, HTML, J2EE, Weblogic, Oracle and SQL-based applications for these large companies. Before his work with Everis, Xavier built a wireless network for an entire town in Spain. He holds an ITIL certification from Hewlett-Packard, as well as an IGNITE certification from the University of Cambridge, among other certifications. Xavi holds a B.A. in electrical engineering and an MBA in industrial management from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Barcelona, Spain.
Helena Torras, VP Operations
BA and M.B.A. in business administration and Management from ESADE (Barcelona, Spain) and an M.B.A. in international management from McGill University, in Montreal, Canada. She began her career at KPMG, working since then in business consulting and in the service sector, holding various positions up to general management. She leads Abiquo with the entrepreneurial team, where she joined in 2007.
Steve Rushen, Senior Director, Support and Services
Steve Rushen joined Abiquo in November 2010 to help grow the Company’s European business. Prior to Abiquo he served as a Senior Principal Consultant in CA Technologies Security Business Unit providing Sales enablement across Europe and in strategic global accounts.
Previously Steve spent 7 years at Orchestria (acquired by CA inc.), originally in Pre Sales, and later Managing Professional Services in Europe. Steve has also held Technical Support and Consultancy positions with several companies including Symantec, Axent Technologies and Admiral Management Services. Prior to a career in IT, Steve spent 12 years in the Royal Corps of Signal, serving in Bosnia, Germany, Cyprus and Northern Ireland.
